Gateway To The Reef & Rainforest

Cairns is a tropical paradise that offers a wide variety of activities for participants to experience. From exploring the Great Barrier Reef to hiking in the lush rainforest, Cairns has something for everyone.

Participants can take a boat trip to the reef and experience snorkelling and swimming amongst the vibrant coral and tropical fish. For those who prefer to stay dry, glass-bottom boat tours and semi-submersible rides offer an up-close look at the reef’s incredible marine life.

Cairns is also the gateway to the Daintree Rainforest, the oldest tropical rainforest in the world. Participants can take a guided tour through the forest and spot unique wildlife such as cassowaries and tree kangaroos.

Cairns is also known for its cultural offerings, with the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park offering an insight into the ancient culture of the local Indigenous people. Participants can watch traditional dances, try their hand at spear throwing, and learn about the Dreamtime stories that have been passed down through generations.

Cairns is an accessible and welcoming city. They want everyone to be able to enjoy their natural environment and facilities no matter what their abilities.
